SummarySimone Bifani works on the LHCb experiment at the CERN LHC. After he joined the collaboration in 2010 he focussed his work on electroweak physics, rare b-hadron decays and lepton universality. Simone was responsible for the measurements of W and Z boson production during Run-1 and co-convened the "Electroweak" sub-working group for two years. He tested lepton universality using B0→K∗0 l+l- decays and co-convened the "Electroweak Penguin Decays" sub-working group for one year. Simone is currently co-convening the "Rare Decays" working group. As a member of the NA48 and NA62 collaborations between 2002 and 2009, Simone made extensive studies of rare kaon decays: he performed original analyses of the KS,L→π∓μ±ν and K±→π±γγ processes and contributed to the operation and maintenance of the detector. |
