Title: The KamLAND Neutrino Experiment
Speaker: Dr Yoshi Uchida (Imperial College, London)
Abstract
The KamLAND experiment has been running since early 2002, measuring electron anti-neutrinos from nuclear reactors after they have traveled a distance of close to 200 km. I will review the experiment and its latest results, which are soon to be published. I will also discuss the future prospects for the experiment as neutrino physics enters the precision era.
This Particle Physics Seminar will take place in Seminar Room 2 (room 106), Physics West, at 1315. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served at 1300.
