Particle Physics Seminar

Date: Wednesday 13th December 2000

Title:

Speaker: Dr. Claire Shepherd-Themistocleous (Cambridge)

Abstract
The LHCb experiment is an experiment dedicated to studying CP violation in the B system. It will use collisions provided by the LHC at CERN and is due to start data taking in 2005. It will make a comprehensive study of CP violation and by overconstraining the CKM triangle will be able to look for indications of physics beyond the Standard Model.

Particle Physics Seminars take place in room B03, Physics West, on Wednesdays at 1315, unless listed otherwise. Tea, coffee and biscuits are served at 1300.
