Title: Survey of Heavy Ion Physics

Abstract
A selection of recent results from the last Quark Matter Conference are
presented. These show the latest developments in experimental heavy ion
physics from the CERN SPS and RHIC programmes. There will also be a
summary of the current status of the preparations for the CERN ALICE
experiment.
