Title: Observation by BaBar of Two New Narrow Ds States

Speaker: Dr Chris Hawkes (Birmingham)

Abstract
The BaBar experiment has observed two new Ds states with surprisingly low masses and narrow decay widths. The D*sJ(2317)+ lies below the DK threshold and decays to D+spi0. The DsJ(2458)+ lies above the DK threshold and below the D*K threshold and decays to D+spi0gamma. Both of these decays violate isospin conservation. The analyses will be described and results compared with those from other experiments.

This seminar will take place in room 103, Physics West at 1315. Tea, coffee and biscuits are served at 1300.
