SUSY Monojets at LHC

Ben Allanach (DAMTP Cambridge)

Abstract

Supersymmetric monojets may be produced at the Large Hadron Collider by the process q + g --> q + chi_1^0 + chi_1^0 leading to a jet recoiling against missing transverse momentum. We examine the feasibility and utility of supersymmetric monojet signals. In particular, we discuss measuring the chi_1^0-squark-quark coupling via the rate. Knowledge of such a coupling would help bound dark matter direct detection cross-sections and the dark matter relic density of the chi_1^0.
