BESIII: Leptonic and Semileptonic Decays of Charmed Hadrons

Alex Gilman (Oxford University)

Abstract

Leptonic and semileptonic decays of charmed hadrons provide unique tests of our theories of electroweak and strong interactions. In the past 5 years, significantly more precise measurements of these decay rates have been produced, primarily due to large samples collected at charmed hadron pair production thresholds by the BESIII experiment. These measurements will be discussed in detail, and an overview of how this recent progress has improved our understanding of fundamental interactions will be presented.
